This similar to punch grafting, except that a strip of hair bearing skin will be removed and transplanted instead of a small graft. The opened wounds will then be sealed up.

Scalp reduction
This procedure requires a strip of bald scalp be removed and stitched together. This effectively reduces the size of the bald area. This kind of hair loss solution surgery is usually combined with punch grafting or strip grafting to reduce the amount of graft required. It is good for people who do not have much hair left. It can also gives the face a mild face lift at the same time.

Transposition flaps
This is usually for treatment of hair loss cause by burns or scarring. It can also be used for male pattern baldness. The procedure requires the raising of a flap of hair bearing skin, and then also a strip of bald skin to be removed. The hair bearing skin is then rotated around and stitched into place on the bald area. This procedure is good because it can spread a large part of hair bearing skin onto a largest possible area of bald skin. However, this procedure needs very good technical skills of the surgeon to produce good results.

Hair implants
This procedure consists of inserting natural or synthetic hair onto the scalp. This is done by knotting the ends of the hair. However, the implanted hair can fall out of the scalp after some time. The scalp can also get infected easily. So this treatment is usually not recommended as a hair loss solution.

Surgery can improve your appearance, but the accepted level is up to your expectation of improvement level. Of course if your expectation is too high, then chances of you getting disappointed after the surgery is pretty high. Hair loss solution through surgery is a big task to carry out. It can have lasting permanent effect on your hair loss issue. But since it is an expensive treatment and not everyone is suitable for it, do consider properly before going for it.
