For hundreds of years, there are many conman who have sold concoctions that were claimed to be miracle “hair loss cures.” Most of these supposed magically solutions to hair loss cures, however, were actually just snake oil potions, which were in fact not intended to help people who used these products to overcome their hair loss issue, but instead, took advantage of these people who were desperate to regain their lost hair.

In the past, the Federal government of countries such as the United States has had to regulate products that claim to promote hair loss cures in the market, as it often becomes extremely exploitive over time. Regulation in the past has successfully help to clear the market of all fake products. But what about the hair loss cure products that are available on the market today? Are they real or are they also scams?

Well the answer to this is that there are two types of cures on the market today. One is an oral cure and another is a topical cure. The topical cure is Minoxidil, which you might have probably heard about on Rogaine commercials. The good news is that Minoxidil does help with hair loss condition.

Rogaine, which has been one of the more prominent hair loss cures on the market today, generally uses a 2 to 5 percent concentration of Minoxidil. Most tests have conclusively shown that this drug is not a scam In fact, it does promote hair growth, but it cannot always work in all patients. The reported success rates of studies were around 50 percent and were decidedly lower for older patients.

The other type of hair loss cure on the market is oral, Finasteride, and now comes in forms that can be used in conjunction with topical cures. Finasteride also, according to most current hair loss cures studies, is also not a scam. It is reported to increase hair growth by a significant amount in most patients who start to use it. Patients who took it in clinical tests grew over 100 hair strains in less a month on average. Clinical tests that lasted longer also showed a considerable improvement.

So is there any effective hair loss cures out on the market? The answer is yes. But do always take note of what products you buy and never blindly buy any products just because it claim to promote hair growth.
